What is IoPT?
Untangling unconscious traumas and very early traumas
IoPT - Identity-oriented Psychotrauma Therapy and Theories is a comprehensive theory of psychological and emotional trauma combined with an effective treatment method. Developed by Dr. Franz Ruppert, professor of psychology from Applied Science Institute in Munich - it's an advanced tool to deal with the healing of our early traumas.

We don't talk about traumas as much as we should. Those traumas known to us - we don't take then seriously and we try and live as they never happened - but they did. What about the traumas we are not aware of? Those early traumas that are in the back of our unconsciousness - that, willingly or not, manage a great aspect our lives? These early traumas that happened at a time we do not remember and cannot discuss.
When a trauma occurs - a psychological 'splits' happens in order to survive the event. The trauma is cast to the unconsciousness and a part of us remain frozen in time. In order to survive, a new part of us emerges - the 'surviving self' - the trauma 'gate keeper', who in time will manage to do anything possible to remain the trauma unconscious, avoiding it and keeping the pain away. This 'keeper' is a part of us who eventually takes over and control our lives. Our 'traumatized self' struggles to merge back with our healthy parts. Our healthy parts long to re-unite with the split parts and become whole again. Become WHO WE TRULY ARE - WITH ALL THE BAD AND GOOD.

Self-Encounters helps you with:
- Recognizing traumatized family systems - sometimes we can even learn about multi generational traumas.
- Realizing how this system effected your parents and their capacity of seeing and taking a proper care of you.
- Understanding your survival parts strategies - and by that aging more autonomy over your reactions and feelings.
- Help you to get a stronger sense of "self" by releasing emotional entanglements and connecting to your true and healthy self
- Acknowledging your traumas.
- Learning to keep your boundaries and distinguishing truth from illusions.
- Integrating your traumatized parts and reconnecting with them - become whole.
-Living in healthy relationships, in well being and autonomy.

How does it works?
Traumas can be healed and resolved through Self-Encounter sessions, with the help of the intention method. This method was developed over many years by Professor Ruppert, and is a way to explore these unconscious parts of our psyche with extraordinary accuracy. With this method we gain an insight of how the trauma impacted our lives. Through the intention method we can merge these 'splits' parts - and eventually regain our sense of autonomy.

The intention method, resembling Family Constellations, is based on resonance - the ability of beings to come into mutual resonance with each other, and share information, emotional and experience data. The client sets an Intention Sentence where they set a particular exploration issue for that session (again, similar to a FC). The intention can be something like "I want to know who am I" - from this sentence the client will choose 3 words they wish to resonance with. This process of choosing the intention may take as long as it takes, it can be 3 words the make any sense to the client - with no lingual sense as well - as long as it is an intention that the client want to resolve. Once the three words are chosen - the self-exploration begins.

How do I know if it "works" and how often to Self-Explore?
Unlike conventional therapy - where the patients feel dependent on their therapist - IoPT and Family Constellations come to give the freedom and the autonomy back to the person. As a facilitator, I put my trust in my clients to know when and what they need to sort-out in their lives. No one can heal another person. We can only heal ourselves. I can facilitate someone's self-exploration to reach their own healing in their own pace.
After sessions we often feel alleviated, with a sense of inner peace. With time we can notice changes in our behavior, our awareness to our interactions with the outside world and to the way we respond to "problematic situations" that once were a triggering thing for us. We feel "centered" and clear in our thoughts.

How often do we do sessions? That's an individual questions that each one holds the answer to.
How long does each session take?
It varies. Most sessions take up to 1.5 hours, some less and some more. It doesn't matter how long it takes - I will be there as long as it takes. Group sessions may take longer than individual ones, but not always.
